Virginia families work hard to make ends meet and build a better future for their children. But, the reality is many working families across the Commonwealth simply cannot afford everyday costs like food, child care, and energy bills. Virginians work hard, and we deserve representatives who will fight to uplift working families so we do not have to worry about making ends meet.

Representative Jen Kiggans has voted multiple times to hike our everyday costs and cut funding for essential child care programs. For example:

• Rep. Kiggans voted to threaten essential resources for 13,896 vulnerable children in Virginia by cutting access to critical assistance.

• Rep. Kiggans voted to cut funding for Head Start and other child care program slots for 5,900 children in Virginia.
